Wedding Dresses for Petite Brides 2

Wedding Dresses for Petite Brides  2
Why not consider wearing a dress with a type of strap or sleeve. Spaghetti straps are a great option for shorter ladies as this delicate feature elongates your body. Be careful if you are looking at off the shoulder and cap sleeve designs as these can make narrow shoulders look wider. If you are quite taken with the idea of having a dress with sleeves, a la Kate Middleton then half or a three-quarter length sleeves will create a good balance with your height.

Full-length sleeves will only make your arms look too long and will make you look out of proportion. Having a wedding dress with a tight bodice can enhance your bust line and give the appearance of a larger bust if you are seeking to further enhance this area.
Large full-skirted princess fairytale wedding dresses can drown you. They can end up making you look even shorter as your bottom half needs to balance with your upper half. The big tulle and organza skirts will create a lack of proportion. Skirts that are gathered and have ruffles are very much the trend right now. However for a petite bride she unfortunately does not have the height for the ruffles to sit and fall as they should. If you really love ruffles then look for a dress that has fewer in it to prevent you appearing shorter and lost in it.

Often less is more when it comes to wedding dresses and this is very true for smaller sized brides. Too much embroidery or twinkle can look too busy and overcrowded on the gown. Opting for detail in just some areas will work in harmony with the rest of the dress style and you. Choose beading or embroidery around the bodice, skirt hem or the neckline.
